What a nice weekend! We spent most of the time over at my mother-in-laws eating ice cream and watching fireworks! Sunday, we also threw in a trip to the visitors center at the temple. It was nice. While at the temple, one of the female missionaries was guiding us around and chatting with the kids.....maybe I should say Kolton in particular. What a flirt he is! She even called him Kody. And, when we all corrected her, he said "thats ok, you call me that if you want." It was so hysterical! Yes, I already know that I will have trouble with him in a few years. Sunday night we stayed home and lit some of our own fireworks. We had a bon fire, roasted hot dogs, and made s'mores. What a nice evening. It was fun to have Josh with us. He left yesterday for North Dakota. Kolton was extremely torn up about it. I tried to explain it wasn't forever and that he would come back as soon as he could, but Kolton didn't want his uncle to leave at all.
Yesterday we ventured back to Logan. It was so nice to see that town again. We saw Sheree's new house and went to USU campus. Unfortunately, the kids were all tuckered out and they missed the campus. We will have to take them back again sometime.

Dog Show

We had the dog show this weekend. I put Sasha in the fun match...for her first time in the ring, I would have to say she did pretty well! She was shown by a handler named Susan.

Also, Ken has been building a food storage room in the garage.. I am posting a picture of it also. It is going to be awesome!

Fishing Trip Memorial Day

We went up to Howe Idaho on Memorial Day fishing. I thought I would share a couple pictures with you. The kids had a great time even though the weather didn't cooperate. The best part, is the ant hill that is bigger than Kenzie.

Puppies

We have puppies! Masey had 8 puppies on Saturday, but two have passed on :(
I took them to the vet today to have them checked out and their tails docked, and the vet told me that a couple of them are sick and they need antibiotics along with me supplementing their milk every couple hours for a while.......so now, I am a nurse maid to these little puppies until they are healthy and stronger to handle things on their own. It is going to be a long week!

just an update on us.

Well just to update you on what has happened since my last post. I went to Utah and bought a Honda Pilot because I sold my suburban. So far, I love it. It still seats 8 people but it is smaller and better for our family. While I was there, I bought another boxer. She is 7 months old and her name is Sasha. She is going to be a show dog. So yes, I am going to venture into showing dogs. I am really quite excited about this. I hope she does well....or I should say, I do well. She is perfect so I am not worried about her. She is such a sweet heart and bonding with our family really well. Kolton is now getting excited that he only has 3 wks of school left. I think he is now getting burnt out with school, but he has done really really well!!! He is above average for his age. Kylee is getting really excited to start school next year. I hope she gets a good teacher that will enjoy her and yet keep her stubborness under control.

Meet our two wild turkeys. They are a little scary for the kids since they chase them a little bit. Kolton finds it entertaining to chase them.
We also have Tucker the pony. He is very friendly and the kids just love him! He is pretty cute I do have to admit. He loves to socialize with us. We also have some chickens. They have been a lot of fun for the kids. The hens lay "easter eggs" so we get pink, green, and blue eggs. They look forward to collecting the eggs everyday.

Baby Turkeys

Kolton and Kylee were able to hold our new baby turkeys. They are so cute when they are babies but they sure do get ugly quickly. We bought 25 to raise for Thanksgiving. The ones from last year were delicious!

It is now time that things are starting to bloom. The girls and I went outside to weed the front yard and I decided to snap a few pictures of the blooms and then I turned and saw how cute my girls were, so I took a couple pictures of them too. It has turned out to be such a nice day.

Easter Lilly

Well, there was one day last week that I had a really bad day and so Ken took me to dinner and he bought me an Easter Lilly. I love it when he cheers me up :)..... I just feel so blessed. I have such a wonderful, loving family. My kids can be so sweet and they are starting to understand some of the important parts of the gospel. It is amazing how fast they learn and how much they pick up on stuff. I don't think its possible to be happier.

Garden Days

We started planting our garden today. We got the brussel sprouts, peas, cabbage, and artichoke planted. Tomorrow we should get the onions, carrots and sunflowers in the dirt. It is nice to have spring......

She is so funny! So my little Kenzie decided to put on Kylee's soccer shirt (backwards I might add) and Kenny's hat. She has Kool-aid all over her face so yes, she is my redneck child. The best part, she just thought she was all that....so cute!

Puppies

So, on Valentines Day, miss Allie decided to go into labor just after midnight. Not only that, but I had to work that day so Ken and I was up dealing with her in labor and then off to work I went. We were really worried that she was having complications but around 7 am, the first puppy came. By 9 am, she had 4 puppies but one of them was dead. So, now she has 3 puppies who are happy, healthy and getting very fat. Here is a picture of Allie

Well today Kolton didn't go to school because he is sick. Yesterday he had a fever and a sore throat. Now, Kylee is complaining of a stomach ache. Lovely........

Well lets update you on January.

Ken has been pretty busy at work and with young mens. He is the coach for their basketball team. They have had a practice every week along with a game. He is just loving it. Kolton is doing very well at school. He is very smart and in the excellerated reading program. Kenzie had a birthday and she is now 3 yrs old. She is just a joy in our lives. Very happy and energetic all the time. Kylee is getting excited that she gets to go to Kindergarten in August. I have just stayed busy with work and volleyball. So far, this year has been very good to the Morgan's.

Ok I really am horrible at this but Kerri told me that I need to work on it so.....

We have been busy all summer with the garden, yard work, Koltons soccer ( I was his coach), work, harvest and now school. Kolton is in the first grade and doing well. I am taking a couple of classes and hopefully I will be in the nursing program soon. Kenzie and Kylee are just playing and enjoying life. Kylee will get to go to Kindergarten in the fall of 2010. A new lake

We have had a lot of warm days so the snow has melted and caused a little problem in our area. We now have a lake forming in the fields around our house. The water was crossing the road and now they had to make a trench through the road for the water to flow.

Kylee's hair cut

Ok, so I worked yesterday and the girls stayed at my dads house. Well when I got their to pick them up, I saw Kylee had a little different hair cut. My dad then told me that she went to the bathroom and came out looking like that. She cut her own hair! AGAIN! She did this just over a year ago. This time wasn't nearly as bad as last though. She cut the top by pulling it forward and cutting it by her eyes, so I had to take her hair and chop it up by her chin line. So now it looks more like she has some layers, but she has short hair. She wasn't very happy when I cut it because she likes to have it curly, in braids and she likes to have it back in pony tails. Well not for a while! She was really upset, but I explained to her that that is the reason why she isn't allowed to cut her own hair! Ken pretended to buzz it off, and that upset her pretty good. I doubt that she will ever really learn her lesson.

Boxer Puppies

OK.... we are not just having one litter of puppies now, we are having two! Both of our females should be delivering around the end of April. Yes, this is insane I know. But, what do you do when the job is already done. So, if anyone knows anyone interested in boxers, send them to my website. http://lavaridgeboxers.webs.com/ The exciting thing though, we should be getting some nearly black if not black boxers! That would be way cool.

Kolton and the knife

Well today I got a call from Koltons school. He took a butter knife to school today and was sent down to the office. She called to tell me that he took it and that he wasn't allowed to have it back. She also informed me that if he was any older that he would have been suspended. Then she told me a few things that he said...."Well I wasn't going to kill anybody." and he also said "the principle can use it for lunch if she needs to."She said he was a pleasure to talk to and a very generous little boy. Now its time to figure out what exactly to do to discipline him. So my son now has a school rap sheet. 6 yrs old and already causing trouble. Luckily, its not too bad, it could have been a lot worse. Then Ken told me that when he was in Kindergarten he broke windows in the school bus. I guess I am glad that he didn't do that...right.....

Tile

So Ken is tiling the entryway! I am so excited to get it done because the linolium was hideous. The really sad thing is, is that the concrete that he has down right now looks better than it did before!!!! I know, you don't have to say it, Ken looks just as good as always. It wouldn't be a picture of Ken if his tongue wasn't hanging out! :)
